Biography

I started working as an inclusion teacher for the district April 2001. I received myMasters of Education in Reading in March of 2007 from Grand Canyon University and my Certificate for Teacher of the Handicapped from Jersey City University. This degree and certificate enables me to work with a wide variety of students. My main goal is to work with students that have learning difficulties and help them succeed in their educational goals. Prior to that, I worked as a Case-Manager for the chronically mentally ill (4 yrs) and emotionally disturbed teenagers (6 yrs apr.). I completed undergraduate school at Fairleigh Dickenson University where I worked with college students with learning disabilities and planned conferences.

Personal Message

Providing in-class support allows me to assist students that may be struggling academically due to learning differences. In-class support also allows me to provide assistance for mainstream that are not classfied as special education and to work with both students in small group or individualized setting depending the needs of the students. Special education students as well as mainstream can succeed if given the support and encouragement both in and out of school..
