Principal's Message

Dear Harrison School Families,

I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2018-2019 School Year! For those of you who are new to our school, I want you to know that you are coming to an absolutely wonderful place! As you may know, I have been at Harrison School for over 12 years and I am now honored to take on the new role of Principal. I am committed to the Harrison School Community and firmly believe that ALL students will SUCCEED.

Our teachers and staff are caring, innovative, and always learning something new for the benefit of your children. We are a collaborative and driven group of educators who strive to have our students reach their highest potential.

I look forward to our partnership in ensuring a productive and fun educational experience for your children. I believe that building strong relationships between home and school is a key factor in increasing student achievement. As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. I strongly believe that parental involvement is an essential component to student success, as research continues to show strong correlation between increased involvement and high student success.

ARRIVAL TIMES:  8:33 a.m. - 2:55 p.m. (New Start Time)

Please adhere to the new school hours. Your child must be on time and at school by 8:33 am and ready to begin their day. Students who are consistently tardy are at a clear disadvantage and usually arrive feeling frantic and unprepared. The Before the Bell program will begin on September 6th, at 7:30 am; please make sure to walk your child into the cafeteria and sign him/her up for the program. In the interest of safety, please do not drop off your children before 7:30 am, as there is no supervision before that time. Also, please be sure to pick up your children by 2:55 pm.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

Back to School Night - Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 6:30pm-8:00pm.

1st Day of School- Thursday, September 6, 2018

I look forward to seeing all our students on our first day of school, We can’t wait to see you! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at mnevarez@roselleschools.org or 908-298-2052. Sincerely, Mrs. Nevarez, Principal
